Edo Versatile Veneers are a great recommended choice for creating stylish media wall backdrops for your TV. Lightweight, easy to install, and visually striking, these panels bring an impressive design element to your home.
Edo panels are available in two different styles. The first is Simple panels which are plain panels in a veneer wood to match the pattern panels, ideal for using on each side of Pattern panels to finish a wall. The second is Pattern panels these are pattern design panels available in over 20 different designs. Each style is available in 4 veneer finishes oak, fumed oak, black and walnut.
Each Edo Versatile Veneer panel measures H240cm x W60cm x D1.32cm.
To achieve a beautifully balanced media wall, we recommend considering two key design factors:
1. Bookend the Design with Simple or Patterned Panels
For a balanced, harmonious look, consider framing the sides on your media wall with Simple or Patterned panels:
- Patterned Centre with Simple Panels on the sides
- Simple Centre with Patterned Panels on the sides
The amount of panels you choose to do within the centre and for the ends is entirely up to you and your wall size. Typically we tend to create media walls with 1 pattern/simple on each side. Alternatively you can just use the Pattern Panels if preferred.
2. Consider Your TV and Wall Size
When designing your media wall, it’s essential to take both your TV dimensions and wall size into account. A well-proportioned media wall is visually pleasing when the TV fits comfortably within the inner panels.
For example, if you have a 65″ TV with a width of 144cm and each of the Versatile Veneer panels is 60cm wide. To achieve a balanced look, we suggest using 3 panels (or more) in the center, with your TV placed across them. If you were to use only 2 panels in the center, your TV would extend beyond the panels, creating an uneven look that may feel unbalanced. If you choose the framing method mentioned earlier, you can use 2 Simple/Patterned panels on each side of the central panels.
