Wall Panels Created Using Images From The James Webb Space Telescope

We have a stunning set of Smart Panel and Decora Glass designs now available which are literally out of this world! A Webb Telescope range of space wall designs have been created from images captured by NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope.

The Webb Telescope in space

What Is The Webb Telescope?

A revolutionary scientific mission that began on December 25, 2021, with the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).

The JWST is the largest telescope ever sent into space and, thanks to its cutting-edge infrared technology, it further expands the horizons opened by its predecessor, the Hubble Telescope.

Specifically, the Webb Telescope allows the study of the structure of the universe, consequently deepening the theoretical studies on dark matter; the origin and evolution of the first galaxies; the birth and formation of stars and planets; the evolution of planetary systems, and the conditions for life.

“We wonder. It’s our nature. How did we get here? Are we alone in the universe? How does the universe work? The James Webb Space Telescope is an ambitious scientific endeavor to answer these questions.”

We are extremely privileged to offer our clients surface panels captured by the Webb Telescope.

The Space Panel Designs Available

With the authorisation of the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI), a scientific institution founded by NASA, 3 designs within our Smart Panel and Decora Glass collection have been created. Cosmic CliffsTarantula Nebula, and Pillars of Creation. These designs replicate 3 infrared photographs taken by the Webb Telescope which have then been processed by specialists to recreate the breathtaking colours within the beautiful designs.

What can you see in the designs? Young blue stars emerge as they slowly blow away the dusty material that surrounds them. Farther from the hot young stars, cooler gas takes on a rust colour. In the distant future, part of that gas will pile up and form new stars. The 3 designs show different parts of space which make for fascinating reads in the below find out more buttons.

Pillars of Creation

The Pillars of Creation is a small region within the vast Eagle Nebula, which lies 6,500 light-years away. Find Out More

Tarantula Nebula

In this mosaic image stretching 340 light-years across, Webb’s Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam) displays the Tarantula Nebula star-forming region in a new light, including tens of thousands of never-before-seen young stars that were previously shrouded in cosmic dust. Find Out More

The wall design shown is the Tarantula Nebula taken from the Webb Telescope. It is used on a wall within a modern interior.

Cosmic Cliffs

What looks much like craggy mountains on a moonlit evening is actually the edge of a nearby, young, star-forming region NGC 3324 in the Carina Nebula. Find Out More

With the authorization of STScI, a scientific institution founded by NASA, the amazing photos taken by the telescope created by NASA, ESA and CSA are now available to your own interior. Imagine gazing upon this beautiful piece of art within your home/restaurant/bar or any interior where the beautiful panel can be enjoyed.

What Wall Panels Are The Designs On?

Smart Panels and Decora Glass

The Smart Panels and Decora Glass Panels are the perfect support for these extraordinary images which are printed upon them in very high definition.

Smart Panels and Decora Glass panels are bespoke made in Italy wall panels made to measure your wall dimensions. There is a team of designers who ensure the dimensions you provide showcase the best of the panel design chosen, it then goes through a rigorous checking procedure in which the final panel design is signed off by you.

The Smart panels come with many benefits such as being waterproof, a 1 man install job, and lightweight. These panels are available in a high gloss or matt (for these designs we highly recommend the high gloss). The Decora Glass panels are made from luxury laminated glass that is perfect for backlighting. Find out more about the two types of panels and their benefits.
