Wood Walls With Character

Designer Walls & More first began its journey as a bathroom showroom in Bolton. Over the years we have gradually developed into what we are presently. Chris & Lucy, previous clients of ours who had two bathrooms designed and fitted by us had spotted our wall designs. They contacted us to see what we would recommend for their home walls as they loved what we did with the bathrooms.

Chris and Lucy trusted Gary’s judgement to recommend panels for their kitchen diner. They wanted something for their modern interior which would add soul to their home. They also wanted something to suit their centre piece aviation style table and something natural. Gary as a result suggested the Finium Barnwood. This is a wall panel full of personality and brings nature to the home. This panel is lovingly made in Canada by Finium who up-cycle old Canadian barns to create the panels, you can see the history in each marking of the wood and the sun/weather colouring. We sent Chris and Lucy images and a physical sample of the wood through our sample loaning system, and the panel was just what they were looking for.

Installing The Rustic Panels

Designer Walls was in addition asked to install the panels in their local Bolton home and to look at doing the cable work for the centre light over the table. Due to the walls being of good construction (smooth and flat) minimal prep work was required. There was minimal waste of the wall panels and it was a good clean installation by Gary and Wayne. The walls took approximately 1 day to install then a bit extra for the cable work. In summary we love the finished result and Lucy and Chris were thrilled as it achieved exactly the look they were after.
